Most people find it harder to switch off than to fall asleep. The problem is not the sleep. It is the decision to stop.
Night Night is built around that moment. The Bedside is the anchor. The scent is the cue. The ritual is the work your body learns through repetition.
It works when you show up to it. Consistently. That is both the only requirement and the entire point.
The first run includes The Bedside in Deep Black, both launch cues, and a printed ritual protocol card.
Scent longevity varies by intensity setting, room size, ceiling height, and ventilation. Lower settings extend duration considerably. Enough time to build the habit and feel whether the ritual is working for you.
The ritual works by pairing the same scent with the same context, every night. Your olfactory system connects directly to the part of the brain that decides what feels safe and what feels done. Repeat that pairing consistently and the scent alone begins to trigger the stop. The anchor forms.
The median time to automaticity is 66 nights. Once it holds, stopping is no longer a decision you have to make. It becomes something your body does when the scent enters the room.
Sanctuary: Bamboo · Hinoki.
Nostalgia: Bergamot · Rosewood.
Both arrive with the first run. After the preorder window closes, scents return to individual purchase. Each scent is a distinct cue, built around one clear note pairing so it stays easy to recognise night after night.
Each scent is 100ml of neat, undiluted concentrate. Because there is no dilution, the volume goes considerably further than it appears. The diffuser covers spaces up to 200 cubic metres; in a standard bedroom it operates well within that capacity.
Longevity varies by intensity setting, room volume, ceiling height, and ventilation. Lower settings extend duration considerably. Higher settings are suited to larger or well-ventilated spaces.
Night Night scents are high-grade, neat-concentration perfume oils — not diluted diffuser liquids. The aromatic compounds are professionally blended and formulated in accordance with IFRA guidelines for diffuser-based use, with compounds selected specifically so they atomise cleanly without clogging the machine.
Compared to diluted alternatives, this concentration produces a richer, more vibrant olfactory character — more present in the room, more effective as a nightly anchor. The formulation is held to a professional standard because the mechanism requires consistency: the anchor only holds if the scent is identical every night.
This is also why the pet guidance matters. The same compounds that create a fuller, more complex scent experience mean cats and birds should not share the room during diffusion. It is not that the scent is harmful by design — it is formulated to a higher standard than typical home fragrance, and that concentration requires care around certain animals.
All scents carry the declaration: Parfum (Fragrance). The full allergen declaration per scent appears on the product label. Full documentation, including IFRA certificates, Safety Data Sheets, and allergen declarations, is available on the Safety & Compliance page or on request at hello@nightnight.au.
You reserve the first run before it ships. Once your order is in, you receive confirmation, production notes, and shipping updates by email.
If the window changes, you hear directly. No membership, no automatic refill, no hidden cadence. The first run arrives with both launch cues so the ritual starts cleanly.
No. Night Night does not discount The Bedside, the first run, or preorder orders.
The price is part of the standard. The ritual earns it through the anchor, the cues, the protocol, and the consistency of the system.
A candle makes a room smell good. Night Night builds an anchor your body learns to trust.
Most wellness products sell the outcome and quietly assume the customer will do the work. A meditation app assumes you will meditate. A sleep supplement assumes you will go to bed. A fitness tracker assumes you will train. The failure point is almost never the tool. It is the moment the person decides whether to show up.
Night Night does not work for people who do not show up. It is built for the person who has already decided to stop, and needs something that makes that decision automatic over time. The scent is the mechanism. The repetition is the work. The ritual is what you are actually buying.
No, and the distinction is the point.
Aromatherapy treats scent as the outcome: smell this, feel different, in the moment. Night Night treats scent as a signal: smell this, and the body remembers what comes next. The compounds matter (see the note breakdowns above), but what they build over time is a learned association, not a single mood in a single sitting.
Ritual is technology older than technology. Long before sleep trackers and supplements, people closed the day with the same small actions, in the same order, every night, because repetition is what taught the body it was safe to stop. Night Night is that idea, built for a bedroom.

Yes, when used as directed. The diffuser is waterless and uses cold-mist atomisation: no heat, no water, no risk of burns. It runs in short intermittent bursts with automatic timer settings and is designed for bedside use. The middle setting is the recommended default, for the best balance of scent and duration. If cats, birds, or infants share the household, read the guidance below before use.
Each scent uses 100% neat fragrance concentrate and is designed to fill the room, not overwhelm it. The diffuser is rated for spaces up to 200m³ (cubic metres),* meaning in a standard bedroom it operates well within its capacity, producing a balanced, ambient result rather than an intense one.
Adjustable intensity, interval control, and scheduling let you tailor the experience to your space and environment. Lower settings extend scent duration considerably. Higher settings are suited to larger or well-ventilated spaces. Actual longevity varies by room size, ceiling height, airflow, and operating settings.
*Actual performance varies based on room size, airflow, ventilation, and operating settings.
Cats and birds: do not use the diffuser in any room where cats or birds are present. Cats lack the liver enzyme needed to safely metabolise many fragrance compounds, including linalool and terpenes found in all Night Night scents. Because these scents are high-concentration perfume oils — richer and more vibrant than diluted alternatives — this guidance applies regardless of the setting used. The same caution applies to birds and other small animals.
Dogs: if your dog sleeps in the room, use the lowest interval setting with ventilation and monitor for any signs of discomfort. If any appear, move your dog out and discontinue use in that space.
Infants and toddlers (under 3): do not use in rooms where they sleep. Children 3 and older: lowest setting, ventilated room, not directly next to their sleeping area.
Pregnancy: consult your healthcare provider before use, particularly in the first trimester.
Asthma / respiratory conditions: consult your healthcare provider before use. Discontinue immediately if any discomfort occurs.

Yes, when used as directed. Night Night scents are formulated for use in a cold-mist diffuser in a normally ventilated room. They are not intended for skin contact, ingestion, or direct inhalation. Keep away from eyes. If a fragrance sensitivity or respiratory condition is a factor, consult a healthcare provider before use.
Blot immediately with a dry cloth. Do not rub. If contact occurs with skin, wash the area with soap and water. Keep away from eyes. The concentrate may stain porous surfaces, so act quickly. If irritation occurs after skin contact, discontinue use and seek advice from a pharmacist or healthcare provider.
Once opened, use the scent within 12 months or discard. Unopened scents are stable for 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored in a cool, dry location. The batch number and manufacture date are printed on the base of each bottle. If you notice any unusual discolouration, cloudiness, or off-character smell, do not use.
Night Night scents are not tested on animals. No animal testing is conducted or commissioned at any stage of production.
That is exactly the gap this is built for.
The diffuser weighs under a kilogram, charges over USB-C, and the scent bottle twists out as easily as it twists in. A hotel room, a friend's spare bed, a place that does not feel like yours yet: the kit comes with you, so the cue stays identical even when the room is not.
The space changes. The order does not. Clear it, set the anchor, let the day end. That consistency, not the four walls around it, is what the nervous system responds to. Wherever you land, the evening can still end the same way.
Nothing happens. That is the point.
Night Night is not a streak to maintain or a habit you can fail at. Miss a night, miss a week, come back when you come back. The anchor does not expire and the ritual does not ask for an apology. Pick the scent back up and the same cue is waiting exactly where it was left.
Consistency builds the response faster. It is not the only way to keep it. Rest is a skill, not a reward, and skills are allowed to sit unused for a while.
Night Night is designed around the act of stopping. Not the sleep — the transition. The moment where work ends and rest becomes possible. Most solutions skip that step entirely, addressing what happens after the decision rather than the decision itself.
Someone who has already tried sleep podcasts, supplements, or productivity trackers often finds themselves accumulating tools without changing outcomes. That is not a failure of the tools. Most of them work for what they are. The gap is that they treat the symptom. The body is still expected to make the shift on its own, every night, through willpower that is already spent.
Night Night is built around the root. The body needs a signal it has learned to trust before it will let go of the day. Once that signal is conditioned — the same scent, the same moment, every night — stopping is no longer a decision that has to be made. It becomes something the body does. Most other solutions are rented. This one compounds.
During preorder, $300 reserves the first run: The Bedside, both launch cues, and the ritual protocol. The calculation is not this against a cheaper diffuser. It is this against everything that has not yet worked, and the lifetime value of the nights ahead once it does.
Both, but not equally.
The fragrance is the trigger. The ritual is what it triggers. A bottle of fine fragrance on its own gives the room a moment. It does not give the evening an ending.
Night Night pairs the same scent with the same few minutes, every night, until the scent becomes the instruction: the day is done, you can stop now. The scents are formulated to a standard worth trusting on repeat, because the cue only holds if the signal stays consistent. What you are buying is the ritual. The bottle is simply how the cue arrives.
